15th May, 2008 - Food & Flowers With the forecast promising just a few hours of dry weather in the afternoon, Dan planted 15 cabbage plants in the fruit cage (a necessary precaution against "pigeon damage") and 6 pepper and 3 cucumber plants in the polytunnel.
Tracey worked quickly to avoid a soaking from the menancing black clouds heading our way. There were 2 large pots on the terrace which had yet to be filled and now the plants had been hardened off, they could be planted out.
There were a dozen zinnias and just one lupin (it was the only one that germinated).
Once more, the heavens opened and as a thunderstorm took control of the skies, Tracey ran for cover and Dan was marooned in the polytunnel with the dogs! View The Blog Read All Veggie Patch Stories |
