15th June, 2008 - Rome Wasn't Built In A Day

With a distinct lack of sunshine and the garden particularly wet from persistant rain the previous day & night we were limited as to what we could do in the garden.

Dan decided we should erect the nursery pens for the poultry, given that he'd spent the last few days making them and it was Market Day in a few days time.

Whilst it sounds easy enough, with just 2 of us holding up panels (which are 4 metres long) and Dan also attempting to screw them into place we were struggling somewhat as we just didn't have enough hands.

With one panel propped up against the step ladders, it was clear we needed more help and so our teenage daughter was dragged out of her pit to provide a useful pair of hands.

A couple of hours later and the cage was nearly complete and Dan was chomping at the bit to buy the new livestock to fill the pens.
