23rd July, 2008 - 'Dan' The Lamb

Our friends Gilly & Geoff have once again agreed to keep and raise a lamb for us in their paddock.

We took time out on this hot & sunny afternoon to go and see them.

Geoff has affectionately named the lamb 'Dan'.

Now when Geoff does his rounds of feeding his livestock he tells Gilly 'he's off to see Dan' !!

'Dan' won't be ready for slaughtering until atleast February 2009.

Dan & Geoff will be sharpening their knives and donning their butchers aprons as they will undertake the slaughtering & butchering of 'Dan' and his woolly mate 'Steve'.

It will be the largest butchering project undertaken yet.

Both Dan & Geoff are looking forward to it - it must be a boy thing!!
