27th July, 2008 - Gloria's Egg!

When we visit the birds at different times of the day, we notice different activities and behaviour.

Today's visit to the bird pound at mid morning provided us with evidence as to which chicken is laying the egg.

Blanche & Henrietta were happily pecking around the pond, but Gloria was nowhere to be seen, although she could be heard "straining" from her nest box.

A few minutes later, Gloria stepped out, ruffled her feathers and left behind her a very warm and very fresh egg!
