29th July, 2008 - Duck Patrol!

Despite having a free reign of the pond and a quarter of an acre enclosure our 5 ducks were not satisfied, so they took to roaming around our garden as well.

They visited the rabbit hutches, came within inches of the beehive and had a wash in the dog's water bowl outside the garage!

Safety in numbers and the 5 of them (now known as the Jacksons!) could be seend waddling around anytime of day.

Precautions had to be taken to ensure that they didn't enter the veggie patch as we didn't want to endure a similar catostrophe to last year with the destruction caused by the turkeys.

So, the wheelbarrow was strategically placed across the entrance and it was fingers crossed that that would be enough to dissuade them!
