9th August, 2008 - The Coming Of Age

There are many defining moments which turn a boy into a man and today, Ciaran passed another milestone - killing and butchering a rabbit!

Last year when Ciaran was with us, none of the rabbits were of slaughtering age. This year, however, was different.

With 6 rabbits all ready for dispatch, Dan & Ciaran set off in the direction of the rabbit hutches.

10 minutes later, they were in the garage with a bucket of dead bunnies and Dan showed Ciaran how to skin, gut and joint the rabbit.

Very much to his credit, Ciaran quickly learned what was required and ended up doing 4 out of the 6 rabbits.
