3rd September, 2009 - What An Eggselent Surprise!

For sometime now we have been waiting for Blanche & Henrietta to follow Gloria's one-a-day eggsample!

Our initial concern was that maybe they are laying in nests around the pond while Gloria occupies "Chicken Mini Hilton"

Thankfully, this is not the case.

There is a lot to be said for free range chickens, but searching high and low in a ¼ of an acre for your early morning boiled egg is no fun!!

We are satisfied that the egg found in Chicken Mini Hilton is as a result of Blanche's efforts, given the colour of the shell and the distinct lack of feathers around her bum!

We are now just waiting for Henrietta to give us our eggstra egg!
