4th September, 2008 - Is There No End To Dan's Talents?!

An early morning visit to the pig pound confirmed that Dick was still only able to stand on 3 legs - no longer squealing and happy to be stroked, he had extreme difficulty in moving around.

Dan looked for any obvious signs, but could not see or feel any broken bones, torn skin or foreign objects embedded in Dick's foot or leg.

Dan telephoned our local vet to ask if we could give Dick some ibruprofen and he quickly recommended a course of injections.

Within 10 minutes (guess who wasn't "economy driving"!!), Dan was back from the vets with a couple of syringes, a bottle of medication and verbal instructions on how to administer the treatment once a day for the next 5 days.

It didn't take Dan long to switch his role to "Dan The Vet", even though he didn't scrub up and don latex gloves!

Dick was a very good patient and didn't move a muscle (probably 'cos it hurt too much) and enjoyed the strawberries Tracey had picked for him as a treat for being a good boy.

Get well soon, Dick!
