8th September, 2008 - Emergency Clean Out For Bunty This morning while doing the rounds feeding the animals, Dan notied that Bunty had pulled a little bit of fur out in preparation for an imminent birth.
Mentally adding "clean out rabbits" to his to do list, Dan then carried on with the rest of the days chores.
Later in the afternoon, Tracey went over with some scraps for the bunnies and came back mentioing that Bunty had pulled a lot more fur out.
A quick check on the calendar showed that Bunty was actually due to give birth today or tomorrow.
Given that the rabbits can't be cleaned out for 4 weeks when they've given birth, Dan quickly cleaned Bunty out, giving her plenty of extra newspaper and straw and then taking a handful of the fur she'd pulled out and put it in the corner of the hutch.
By way of an apology for being late, Dan also gave her a handful of raspberry leaves to ease the labour pains.
