9th September, 2008 - Turkeys Go Exploring We returned from blackberry picking late in the afternoon to be greeted by several of the turkeys wandering around the garden.
Given the destruction caused by last years' turkeys, this year we have fenced off a considerable area (about a third of an acre) for the birds to wander around in.
However, this afternoon the turkeys decided that the grass was greener on the other side of the fence.

Fortunately, they hadn't made it as far as Tracey's flower pots or the veggie patch and no damage was done.

Rounding them up was a very simple task of Dan walking back to their enclosure with a bucket of food. As soon as the birds saw the "magic bucket", they flocked around him quicker than a bunch of screaming groupies at a Take That concert! View The Blog Read All Turkey Stories |
