3rd October, 2008 - Would Bernard Matthews Be This Caring? Our morning ritual of feeding the livestock also incorporates a health check of our animals.
Whilst one of the turkeys in "A&E" seems to have responded well on it's "get-well programme", the same cannot be said for it's mate.
The second turkey in "A&E" is suffering from a broken leg and wing - in fact, it's fair to say he should be in "I.C.U"
One of the key facets of being self-sufficient is to raise happy and healthy livestock in the best possible conditions.
Being realistic, there is a limit to the amount of care & attention we can give to any of our livestock and the last thing we want is for any of them to suffer.
So, unfortunately, if this particular turkey shows no signs of improvement, then he'll be put out of his misery in the morning. View The Blog Read All Turkey Stories |
