18th October, 2008 - "Kylie" On his morning rounds, Dan found that the smallest chicken in Rabbit Hilton had suffered greatly due to the heavy frost.
Whilst "fireman" Dan is qualified in first aid, he did not relish the thought of giving the chick mouth-to-mouth in order to revive it.
Instead, quick thinking "vetinary" Dan picked up the lifeless and barely breathing chick and placed it in the cat box on the kitchen table as this was the warmest place and Dan wanted to the bird to warm up asap - had the bird been big enough, it would have gone in a roasting tin at 180 degrees!!!
Having moved from Rabbit Hilton to the "Des Res" of the kitchen table, Dan promised the bird that if it lived, then he wouldn't kill it - in doing so, he also christened the chick "Kylie" (as in the 80s classic song "I should be so lucky")
